Tonight's Christmas craft while mommy cooked dinner was one of our favorite traditions..the gingerbread house. Tonight's version was the quick and simple version of the gingerbread house because we did not bake the gingerbread, but instead used graham crackers. We will eventually do the actual gingerbread closer to Christmas as another tradition, but for a quick craft and something to keep them busy, engaged, and learning...I chose the graham crackers.
You will see in the pictures below that I just used separate trays (so they don't fight over everything of course!) and used candy that I had in the cupboard from Halloween and added some marshmallows, icing, and the crackers. They loved it of course and was very proud of their work. I helped them both a little, but mainly, they did it on their own. They will dry overnight and be one of our annual table decorations.
