Family Gathering Games

So this year at Thanksgiving, I wanted to give our family game time a little make over and decided to bring the "Minute to Win it" theme really pick things up....and boy did it ever!  Our family had so much fun and the games were so simple and didn't cost a thing.

The first game was the one on the game show that the player has to stack 36 plastic cups in a perfect triangle and take it back down all within a minute...this one puzzled everyone, but it was one of those games where the men kept trying and trying...bound and determined! All you needed was 36 plastic cups and a timer. We used our phones. For the kids, we used only 15 cups.

The second game we had the little ones do to include them and it only consisted of 2 boxes of tissues. Two kiddos took one box and tried to see which one could take one tissue out at a time and who would be first and under a minute. The tissue was flying everywhere and the kids and adults were laughing so hard..very cute and fun. No fears on the mess though...read the fourth game :)

The third game we used the 2 empty tissue boxes and 10 plastic golf balls inside each box. I got these at a dollar store for $1 for 10. They were tied around their waist with nylons and holes cut out on both sides (also from a dollar store for only $2). Two individuals stood up and and when the timer started, they started shaking their booties to see who can get all their golf balls out first. This was so funny to watch...everyone was really enjoying this one!

The fourth game was for little ones as well, 2 kiddos worked as a team to see it they could pick up all the tissues and put them in the box all under a minute. The kiddos were laughing so hard...very cute!

The final one we did consisted of the same two pairs of nylons used in the third game tied around their waist with an orange in one leg part and the goal was to knock down the colored cones first and under a minute with 2 individuals playing. This one had everyone engaged and having a good time!

We kept score of who won the most games, we did the same games and alternated with the kiddos and there was a prize for first place for the adults and one for the kiddos. Next year I plan to have some trophies made since everyone is expecting this again!
