CHEAP BUT BIG Sleepover Ideas!

The boys LOVES sleepovers!  These are activities we have to earn in this household...mainly because they are still young and with being in a small rental while we build, space is limited. However, this week, there was a special sleepover at their Mams house...which is a woop woop for me!!  This sleepover was just a cousin sleepover, but the boys were so excited! To make this special, but to not use a lot of funds, we decided to utilize some "cheap" ideas.

All the items for the gift "tubs" were purchased at the local dollar store. The tubs breakdown included:
1. Colored tubs
2. Sticky slappy hand
3. Flashlights with battery included
4. Paint book with finger paint slab
5. Bubbles
6. Small animal tubs
7. glow in the dark jewelry
8. Toothbrush and toothpaste
9. party blowers
10. Fruit chews (scooby doo)
11. Small canister of oreos

Total Cost for each goody filled tub: $7.50!
Most items were either a $1 or 2 for a $1 and the kiddos loved it and it kept them busy most of the night!

We also brought in our tent from the garage. Since the winter weather doesn't allow for a camp out..we had a camp in!  We filled the tent with balloons for the daytime fun and at night, they were filled with pillows, blankets, and sleepy kiddos! The window on the side allowed for a camp in movie to be seen as they laid in their sleeping bags!  Kids LOVED this!

Other sleepover activities that the kids did included:

1. homemade jewelry with colored noodles: the noodles were separated and put into sandwich bags with a tablespoon of vinegar and a few drops of food coloring. Squish the bag around until all noodles covered with the color, then lay out on plastic wrap to dry. Kids did this preparation as well!

2. Sand art projects: this was a kit purchased at the family dollar that included colored sand and five decorative jars to fill with layers of colors and a lid. This was huge hit and the kit was only $5!

3. Homemade Pizzas: Kids were able to make their own homemade pizzas. The prep only included the purchase of pizza sauce, shredded cheese, pepperoni, and the pizza crust (we used the premade ones below). Anytime kids get to cook and make food, its so exciting for them!

4. Movie time: this was watched, as mentioned above, while laying in their tent!

5. Balloon Party: this included about 50 balloons in the tent!

6. Homemade masks: We used party supply monster masks below..usually found in the birthday party aisle.

This was such a cheap night, but made into a BIG night for the little ones!  The ages ranged from 10 months to 6 years old and there were 6 cousins total. It didn't break the wallet or the clock to prepare...but their screams of excitement did break the sound bar!!!
